Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Therapy and healing work are investments of time, money, and energy. It’s important that you have clear information so you can make the right decision for yourself.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session is typically a longer intake appointment. We’ll spend time talking about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you’ve been dealing with, and what you’d like support with. We’ll also look at your history, current stressors, and any past experiences that feel relevant.
There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We’ll move at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

How often do sessions usually happen?

Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum and support. Over time, we may move to bi-weekly sessions, depending on your needs, goals, and progress. We’ll make these decisions together.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

At this time, I offer telehealth sessions only for clients located in Texas. Telehealth allows for flexibility and access while still creating a meaningful and supportive therapeutic space. In-person sessions may be offered in the future.

How long does therapy usually last?

There’s no set timeline. Some clients notice meaningful changes within the first month, while others choose to work together longer to address deeper patterns or ongoing stressors. You’re always in control of the pace and length of therapy.

What issues do you specialize in?

I primarily help older teens and young adults with:

  • Anxiety and panic
  • Depression
  • Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
  • Neurodivergence (diagnosed or undiagnosed)
  • Chronic health concerns and their emotional impact
  • Identity development and life transitions

If you’re unsure whether your concerns fit, we can talk it through during a consultation.

Do you assign homework or between-session work?

Sometimes. Any between-session practices are offered as optional challenges, not assignments. There’s no judgment if something doesn’t get done. We’ll adjust based on what feels realistic and supportive for you.

What are your session fees?
  • Intake Assessment (90 minutes): $225
  • Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $150
  • Individual Therapy (75 minutes): $225
  • Brief Session (25 minutes): $75

Payment is due at the time of service.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide a superbill if you’d like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full session fee.

How do I get started?

You can begin by scheduling a free 15-minute consultation. This gives us a chance to talk briefly about what you’re looking for and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Good Faith Estimate (GFE)?

You have the right to a GFE of expected costs. I’ll provide one before we begin.

Not Sure Where to Start?

If you’re unsure whether therapy is right for you, or what kind of support you need, we can talk it through together. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if working together feels like a good fit.
